Medical Go-Bags–VT Department of Health Presentation, Tuesday, September 22, 1-2:00pm
Are You Ready for a Medical Emergency?
A Medical Go Bag is a portable kit containing essential medical supplies, personal items, and important documents that can quickly accompany you if an ambulance transports you to the hospital or if you need to leave home unexpectedly.
During this free presentation, participants will learn how to assemble a personalized, ready-to-use Medical Go Bag that can be kept by the front door for quick access in an emergency. The program is especially helpful for individuals living with chronic or newly diagnosed health conditions, as well as anyone who wants to be better prepared and organized should an emergency arise.
Individuals of all ages and caregivers are welcome to attend.
Participants will receive a fillable Medical History form to include in their Go Bag, along with guidance on what essential items and documents to pack and tips for keeping medical information organized and up to date.
Please note: Medical Go Bags are not provided. Participants should bring or assemble their own bag after the presentation.
If you do not already have copies of important documents—such as your photo ID, insurance card, Power of Attorney, or Advance Directive—you can make copies of your originals at the Springfield Town Library to include in your Medical Go Bag.
